Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no magic potion for successful weight loss. I’m not talking about losing 30+ lbs in 2 months for a wedding and then gaining it back thereafter! I’m talking about SUCCESSFUL weight loss for the long term.

The big picture is that THE WEIGHT WILL COME OFF if you stay dedicated and never give up. I tell my clients the only way you lose is if you give up. Weight loss is not a smooth easy slope down to your ideal weight; if it was, everyone would be at their ideal weight! Weight loss is a journey of ups and downs, struggles and failures, and most importantly, victories.

If you have a bad weekend of eating, forgive yourself and recommit ASAP! No one is perfect 100% of the time, we all mess up sometimes, and sometimes it’s nice to eat a big fat American cheeseburger, don’t you think?

Stay on track by always keeping your goal in your consciousness and if you ‘mess-up’ at a given meal, learn from your mistakes and re-commit.

Ideally, we want to build up your mental strength so when you ‘mess-up’ it’s a conscious choice, which is ok, as long as it doesn’t happen to often and you keep the quantities under control.
